تأسست شركة زمزم لإستيراد و تصدير و تجارة المعادن (زمزم ستيل) في عام 2005 ومقرها في القاهرة. وتُعتبر من أقدم موردي معدن الإستانلس ستيل و الكروم في السوق المصري ، كما تتخصص الشركة في تجارة المعادن الأخري مثل الحديد و الألومينيوم، بالإضافة الي تصنيع جميع الأشكال الهندسية علي حسب طلب العميل.

يتم استخدام الإستانلس ستيل (stainless steel) الآن بشكل شائع في البناء الحديث وذلك نظراً لما يتمتع به من قوة و مرونة و المقاومة العالية للصدأ. يتم استخدامه في الكسوة الخارجية للمباني الكبيرة، كما يُمكن أيضاً رؤيتة في التصميمات الداخلية سواء في أشكال الدرابزين وأسطح الطاولات وغيرها من التصميمات. ومن مميزاته أيضاً جلب الضوء الطبيعي إلى داخل المبنى، مما يساعد على تقليل استهلاك الطاقة.

صناعات الغذاء والتموين
يُعتبر الإستانلس ستيل مثالي لإنتاج وتخزين الأغذية لأنه لا يؤثر على نكهة الطعام. كما أن خاصية مقاومته للتآكل والصدأ في غاية الأهمية لأن بعض الأطعمة الحمضية (مثل عصير البرتقال) قد تتفاعل مع الصدأ وهو ما يُعد ضاراً بالصحة. ومن خصائصه أيضاً سهولة التنظيف مما يُساعد على الحماية من الجراثيم، مما يجعله مناسباً لصنع مستلزمات المطبخ وأدوات المائدة.

صناعات النقل والسيارات
تم استخدام الإستانلس ستيل لأول مرة في صناعة السيارات في ثلاثينيات القرن الماضي بواسطة شركة فورد للسيارات لصنع سيارات ذات مفاهيم مختلفة. اما اليوم فقد تزايد استخدامه في صناعة السيارات مثل أنظمة عوادم السيارات والحواف والإكسسوارات. ونظراً للمخاوف البيئية والمعايير الخاصة بخفض الانبعاثات يُفضل مصنعو السيارات استخدام الإستانلس ستيل في هيكل السيارة أيضاً.
